John Vanluwen’s Garden
In a busy world, the landscape architect needs to recognize the demands made on his client. Time and energy are precious commodities. In this case, a façade with specimen evergreens cuts down on maintenance time yet, highlights the entranceway of the home. In the backyard, a bridge stretches over a pebbled dry creek bed to reach a tumbling waterfall. Massive weathered rocks create a sense of endless time past. Impatiens plants splash their colours besides overblown Hydrangea, highlighting the sculpture’s pure form. Beneath the shade of the arbour, all may relax and enjoy life.
