For those who love the great outdoors, the rugged great outdoors of mountains and hills, the landscape assumes archetypal proportions. The pattern is a non-pattern. The lines are informal, abandoning regularity in all elements. From the flagstones of the walkway to the mixture of textures to colour dissonance, the design is alive with discord and irregularity. Red cedar chips contrast with white marble chips. Rough stones mix with smooth rocks. Cedar meets Golden Spirea and pom poms are there with flowering almonds. Natural and human-made creations clash and combine to create a unique expression of the owner’s personality.
